While in 2012 a commercially available acrylic sealant was used as sample material, in 2014 a lacquer doped with specific substances was sent to the participants for the VOC and odour measurement.

It was the aim of the project to develop a method to determine the transformation of substances in liquid manure. In a first step, the heterogeneity of manure of different type and origin was tested. Furthermore, a procedure was tested which is capable to take samples homogeneously from a manure storage tank.

This report deals with the effects of pesticides on biodiversity in agricultural and especially arable landscapes. The term “pesticide” describes plant protection products and biocides. The former are used in the agricultural production process to protect crop plants (or their plant products) against harmful organisms like insects, fungi, or other plants.

Im Dezember 2014 diskutierten Akteure unterschiedlicher Interessengruppen beim zweiten nationalen REACH-Kongress den Stand der REACH-Umsetzung einschließlich aktueller Schwierigkeiten und Herausforderungen sowie entsprechender Lösungsoptionen.

Die Entsorgung von Altlampen erfolgt nach dem Gesetz über Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräte (ElektroG) seit 2005 weitgehend in Verantwortung der Hersteller. Dabei sind für die Erfassung der Altlampen aus den privaten Haushalten primär die öffentlich-rechtlichen Entsorger verantwortlich. Zusätzlich haben verschiedene Hersteller freiwillige Rücknahmesysteme aufgebaut.

Der Vorsorgegedanke beim Schutz der ruhigen Gebiete ist ein wichtiger Aspekt der allgemeinen Aufenthaltsqualitäten, insbesondere in Städten. In den Gemeinden ist die Festsetzung von ruhigen Gebieten jedoch noch wenig verbreitet.

Ziel des Forschungsberichts ist es, den Diskurs zur Umweltgerechtigkeit in Deutschland mit einer rechtswissenschaftlichen Betrachtung zu erweitern. In Abgrenzung zum weiten Begriff der „Umweltgerechtigkeit“ bildet der Kernbereich des Umweltrechts den Anknüpfungspunkt dieser Untersuchung.

The Federal Environment Agency was commissioned a study to produce a first approximation of the amounts of microplastics used in cosmetic products on the market in Germany and the European Union, conduct research into further areas of application for microplastics and determine their amounts of use, and identify other sources of microplastics and estimate their quantity.

Die Studie präsentiert erste Ergebnisse zu den Verwendungsmengen von Mikropartikeln aus Kunststoff in kosmetischen Produkten und weiteren Anwendungsbereichen. Primäre Mikropartikel aus Kunststoff werden direkt in mikroskopischer Größe hergestellt.

Land degradation is a global issue with local solutions. Therefore, a concerted global effort on the post-2015 development agenda should also include the many promising SLM technologies and ap-proaches that are already applied. This would help empower the global community to learn from each other, and contribute to building resilience at local, national, and regional levels.

Das vorliegende Forschungsvorhaben untersucht, ob und inwieweit durch Zivil- und öffentliches Recht nachhaltiger Konsum in der Kauf- und Nutzungsphase von Produkten gefördert werden kann.

Tropospheric ozone is considered as the most significant phytotoxic pollutant in the atmosphere. While it has been shown that ozone concentrations have significant adverse effects on crop yields, forest growth and species composition, the impacts of ozone on biodiversity are uncertain. The project aims to assess the impacts of O3 on vegetation and biodiversity in Germany.
