Maria Krautzberger heads the German Environment Agency (UBA) since 5 May 2014.

Ms Krautzberger, born in Upper Bavaria and a graduate of administrative sciences, served as Permanent Secretary in the Berlin Senate Department for Urban Development and the Environment from 1999 to 2011.

Dr. Michael Angrick assumes the duties of the Vice-President in addition to serving as Head of Division V, Climate Protection, Energy and Emissions Trading.
