We are pleased to announce our upcoming international conference entitled “Human Biomonitoring for science and chemical policy” under the German EU presidency on 02 October 2020 in Berlin.
The conference is organised by the German Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU ) together with the German Environment Agency (UBA ) as part of the HBM4EU initiative. This project with 30 participating countries is coordinated by UBA and aims to further improve the European chemicals policy.
The conference will not only present and discuss the progress of the HBM4EU project but also the new chemicals strategy to be published by the EU Commission this summer (as part of the Green Deal).
The conference will cover domestic, EU and international perspectives. It will be held in English only.
Experts and stakeholders from science, politics, national authorities, industry and associations are invited.
The conference will be opened by the Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, Ms. Svenja Schulze. She has invited EU Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius to join her.
Since we cannot foresee how the COVID 19 pandemic will develop, we are preparing a virtual conference only. Depending on the developments in the next weeks we will soon decide whether an in-person meeting in Berlin will also be possible.
Registration is now open. (Information)
