How to reach UBA

Wörlitzer Platz 1, 06844 Dessau-Roßlau

UBA’s headquarters are about five minutes' walk from Dessau main train station. Exit the train station from the main building, bear left and cross the bus lot. Take the Antoinettenstraße underpass to reach Wörlitzer Platz. A footpath between Wörlitzer Bahnhof and a bridge ramp on Roßlauer Allee leads to the main entrance of the Agency offices. Please register as a visitor at the reception in the Forum, located in the main building. Thank you!

Bismarckplatz 1, 14193 Berlin

The Bismarckplatz bus stop is near the main entrance. The Herbertstraße bus stop is a few minutes’ walk. The nearest rapid transit railway station is Halensee (S-Bahn), from where one can walk or take the bus to the Bismarckplatz stop.

The location is within walking distance of the Buchholzweg bus stop. The nearest rapid transit railway station is the Beusselstraße S-Bahn station, from where one can take a bus to the Buchholzweg stop.

The Berlin-Marienfelde office is a 15-20 minutes’ walk (1.5 km) from the Schichauweg S-Bahn station. There is a small path at the end of the street that leads to the entrance. Travel time can be cut by taking the bus from the S-Bahn station to the Egestorffstraße bus stop.

Alte Messe 6, 04103 Leipzig

You can reach the old exhibition grounds by S-Bahn S2, S3 via stop "Leipzig Völkerschlachtdenkmal" and by streetcar via line 2 and 15 (stop "Altes Messegelände"). After that, you can reach the location in 3 minutes by foot.

Albert-Schweitzer-Straße 18, 38226 Salzgitter

The Konrad mine building department is located 5 minutes from the Salzgitter-Lebenstedt central bus station (ZOB). Exit the station through the main building and head west on Konrad-Adenauer-Straße. Turn right onto Albert-Schweitzer-Straße. The office building is at the intersection of Thiestraße. The building department is on the third floor.

Schneefernerhaus, Zugspitze 5, 82475 Zugspitze

By train:

Go to the Munich train station. Take the train to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Get out at Garmisch-Partenkirchen (last stop) and board the Bayerische Zugspitzenbahn train, which is located at the western edge behind the train station.

By car:

From Munich, get on the Garmisch to Partenkirchen Autobahn and head toward Zugsspitze /Grainau. Drive down Hauptstraße in Grainau and when you reach the city limits, take three kilometer long Bergstrecke to the parking lot of the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn’s Talstation Eibsee funicular station.

From the Talstation Eibsee funicular station:

The funicular station departs every half hour (service is suspended during storms). When you reach the top, take the Gletscherseilbahn funicular to the Sonnalpin stop. Sonnalpin and Schneefernerhaus can be reached solely via a footpath, and then by taking the funicular. Wear clothing that’s suitable for the mountain weather. The trip up the mountain must be taken with the funicular driver present. A safety information sheet (Merkblatt für Besucher zur Verminderung des Sicherheitsrisikos) is available at the measuring station.

Zur alten Fischerhütte 1, 16775 Stechlin - OT Neuglobsow

By train:

Take the Berlin-Fürstenberg train. Get out at the last stop. Take a bus or taxi to Neuglobsow, or arrange in advance for us to pick you up at the train station.

By car:

• Directions from Berlin to Neuglobsow. From Berlin, take the B 96 toward Norden (Stralsund) and exit at Gransee. From there, head toward Neuglobsow (Stechlin). Drive through Großwoltersdorf and Menz to Neuglobsow. When you get to Neuglobsow, you’ll see the sign for the measuring station.
• Directions from Berlin to Neuglobsow (alternative route): From Berlin, take the B 96 toward Norden (Stralsund) and exit at Fürstenberg. From Fürstenberg, head toward Neuglobsow and follow the signs there.

29394 Langenbrügge

By car:

You can get to our Waldhof measuring station from the north via the city of Uelzen by heading toward Wieren and then to Langenbrügge Bodenteich. Then head toward Lüben. Then take the road to Waldhof and turn into the forest right after you pass a farm called Waldhof. You’ll see the measuring station on your right after 300 meters.

To reach the measuring station from the south, drive from Wittingen to Stöcken and then to Langenbrügge. Then head toward Lüben. Then take the road to Waldhof and turn into the forest right after you pass a farmstead called Waldhof. You’ll see the measuring station on your right after 300 meters.

Schauinslandweg 2, 79254 Oberried/ Hofsgrund

By train:

Take any trolley from Freiburger Hauptbahnhof train station and get out at Bertholdsbrunnen. Then transfer to Straßenbahnlinie 4 (trolley line 4) going toward Günterstal. Get out at Günterstal and get on a bus to Horben. Get out at the Schauinsland-Schwebebahn funicular station, and take the funicular to the Schauinsland measuring station. From there, walk 100 meters uphill on the road leading to a parking lot. From there, take the asphalt path toward Rappenecker Hütte, which after a 1.5 km walk will take you to the measuring station. The measuring station is a long wooden building with a large measuring field in front of it.

By car: 

From downtown Freiburg follow the signs to the Schauinsland measuring station, a 17 kilometer drive. Stop at the first parking lot you come to. From there, a 1.5 kilometer service road leads to the measuring station. However, members of the public are not allowed to drive down this road, which in some cases is blocked by a barrier. It takes about 40 minutes to get from downtown Freiburg to the measuring station.

Schmücke 8, 98528 Suhl/ Gehlberg

By train:

Take the train to Oberhof. From there take a taxi or make prior arrangements with us to pick you up at the station.

By car:

Exit the A 4 at Gotha and take the B 247 toward Suhl. Turn left 1 kilometer after leaving Oberhof. Drive 10 kilometers. You’ll see the measuring station on your right.

Lornsenweg 9, 25980 Westerland/Sylt

By train:

At the Westerland train station, take the SVG (Sylter Verkehrsgesellschaft) line 1 bus and get out at Marinesiedlung.

Landstr.2, 18374 Zingst

By train:

Take the train to Barth, and from there take the bus to Zingst.

By car:

Take the Autobahn to Rostock. From there, take the B 105 heading toward Stralsund, until you reach Löbnitz. From there, take the Kreisstrasse (district road) to Barth and then continue on to Zingst. From there, head toward Müggenburg. 1.5 kilometers after leaving Zingst you will see the entrance to the measuring station
