    The line chart indicates – for the period of 1970 to 2021 – the mean point in time when maize cultivation begins, in terms of a calendar date from the start of the year. Although the time series proceeds with some fluctuation, it shows a significantly falling trend: To date, the latest onset of drilling occurred in 1970 on day 130 of the year – early May. In 2021 drilling began as early as day 119 of the year – end of April.

    Six curves show the percentage of catches with at least one Lusitanian fish species for different boxes in a time series from 1987 to 2013.     The illustration ‘Days with heat warnings’ (2017–2021) shows a map of Germany. Districts are categorized by heat warning days using nine color codes. The Upper Rhine Rift Valley had the highest warnings (12–16 days/year). In eastern Germany, including southern Brandenburg, Berlin, and the Bayerische Wald (near Austria and the Czech Republic), up to 12 days/year were recorded.
