Restoration of the Hessian river Fulda near Breitenbach (2018)

Aerial view of the Fulda and a branch with low water flow. Grasses, shrubs and trees grow on the banks with diverse hydromorphological structures.

Large stones and dead wood have been integrated into the river for diverting the flow and creating a branch of the Fulda near Breitenbach. These initiating measures trigger the dynamics of the river.
