Ecological upgrading of a stream in an urban area

A narrow stream runs between two concrete walls. Small banks separate the water from the concrete walls and offer some near-natural elements like narrowing, widening and small bifurcations. The banks are covered with grass.

Even heavily straightened and constricted water bodies in the city can be ecologically upgraded by restoring the riverbed and banks.
