Der vorliegende Beitrag fasst die Inhalte des Projekts „Erfolgsbedingungen für Systemsprünge und Leitbilder einer Ressourcenleichten Gesellschaft“ im Überblick zusammen und diskutiert diese. Er stellt damit den ersten Band der Berichte zu diesem Projekt dar.

In 2012, Germany made a commitment to the conservation of natural resources through the Resource Efficiency Programme (ProgRess). Six years after its adoption, where do we find ourselves in Germany today?

Deutschland hat sich im Jahr 2012 im Ressourceneffizienzprogramm (ProgRess) zum schonenden Umgang mit natürlichen Ressourcen bekannt. Wo stehen wir in Deutschland sechs Jahre nach seiner Verabschiedung? Das Umweltbundesamt unterstützt die Umsetzung von ProgRess unter anderem mit diesem Bericht zur Nutzung natürlicher Ressourcen in Deutschland, der nach 2016 zum zweiten Mal erscheint.

Ziel des vorliegenden Berichts war es, die beiden Optionen – der trockenen Entaschung/-schlackung und Nassentaschung/-schlackung im Wasserbad – hinsichtlich der Qualität der ausgelesenen Metalle und Mineralik experimentell zu untersuchen.

Viele Umweltprobleme konnten in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten erfolgreich gemindert werden. Manche aber sind hartnäckig und erweisen sich als schwer lösbar, und weitere neue sind  hinzugekommen.

Welche Relevanz besitzt Wirtschaftswachstum für das Erreichen umweltpolitischer Ziele? Der Bericht analysiert die Argumente verschiedener Positionen in diesem Diskurs und formuliert eine idealtypische „vorsorgeorientierte Postwachstumsposition“.
