LIFE AskREACH Final Conference
The AskREACH project aims at raising awareness on Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) in articles among the European population, retailers and industry. AskREACH developed the smartphone app Scan4Chem which can be used to readily receive information on SVHCs in consumer articles or send information requests to suppliers. The European Chemicals Regulation REACH provides the legal framework.
After more than 5 exciting years the LIFE AskREACH project is going to an end.
With its overall goal to enhance substitution of substances of very high concern (SVHC) in articles by increasing the market demand for SVHC free articles and supporting industrial actors to identify SVHC in their articles project raised awareness among consumers and companies.
AskREACH project also facilitated communication on SVHC between consumers and companies by developing a Europe-wide applicable smartphone app Scan4Chem for consumers to launch requests according to Article 33 REACH. And let’s not forget about supply chain communication processes that finally aim at substituting SVHC in articles.
Final Conference of AskREACH that will take place on January 25, 2023 10:00 – 17:00 Central European Time (CET)
in Brussels, Kartuizercenter (Rue des Chartreux 70, 1000 Brussels).
