The Federal Environment Agency (UBA) is announcing its planned projects for the Environmental Research Plan 2009 (UFOPLAN 2009) of the Federal Ministry for the Environment (BMU) on its website. 86 research projects on environmental topics scheduled to commence in 2009 are listed at http://www.umweltbundesamt.de/service/ufoplan.htm. The site lists the research topic, the research project code number as well as the corresponding UBA supervisory department. Institutions or organisations that wish to take up one or more research projects are asked to express their interest by Friday, 27 February 2009, to the Federal Environment Agency, Secretariat Z 6, Attn: Ms Drömer, P.O. Box 1406, 06813 Dessau-Roßlau.

Please note: In order to ensure prompt processing, UBA kindly requests that separate statements of intent be submitted for each individual project. The departments in charge at the Agency will assess the statements and take them into consideration should competing statements result in a competitive award procedure.
The listing of a project in the Environmental Research Plan 2009 does not imply that it will actually be awarded in 2009. UBA does not send notification to applicants whose statements of intent are not taken into consideration.
