Das Projekt beschreibt ein Konzept zur qualitativen Bewertung biozidfreier Alternativen mittels nachvollziehbarer Kriterien. Anhand konkreter Beispiele werden biozidfreie Alternativen hinsichtlich ihrer Zweckmäßigkeit und Konkurrenzfähigkeit mit Bioziden verglichen.

In February 2020, the European Commission and the German Environment Agency organized the 2. workshop on non-chemical alternatives in rodent control (NoCheRo).

The report describes activities within the project “Advanced materials - Thematic conferences: Assessment of needs to act on chemical safety” to provide discussion input on approaches to describe, cluster and prioritize advanced materials.

It is published every six months.  In its 1-2020 issue, UBA looks at chemicals with the abbreviation PFAS: per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances. These chemicals are used in many applications for their water, grease and soil-repellent function.

Das Magazin "Schwerpunkt" des Umweltbundesamtes widmet sich in jeder Ausgabe relevanten Themen im Bereich Umweltschutz. Es erscheint halbjährlich.  In der Ausgabe 1-2020 betrachtet das UBA die Chemikalien mit dem Kürzel PFAS: per- und polyfluorierte Alkylsubstanzen. Diese Chemikalien werden in vielen Anwendungen für ihre wasser-, fett- und schmutzabweisende Funktion genutzt.

The report provides information on the occurrence of per- and polyfluorinated chemicals (PFASs) and alkylphenols (APs) in various product groups. For PFASs, the report analyses construction materials and industrial textiles as well as the content of short-chain APs (4tPP, 4tBP) in paints, coatings and adhesives.

Das Ergebnis einer Literaturrecherche zeigt, dass nicht-technische PCB über bestimmte chemische Prozesse (Herstellung von Pigmenten) und bedruckte Konsumgüter in die Umwelt gelangen können. PCB-Messungen an ausgewählten Abfällen und Erzeugnissen bestätigen das Vorkommen in Pigmenten, obgleich nur geringe PCB Belastungen in den untersuchten Proben nachgewiesen werden konnten.

The project goal was to support the regulatory acceptance of data generated with the OECD Acute Fish Embryo Toxicity Test (TG 236) as alternative method to the OECD Acute Fish Toxicity Test (TG 203). Die Zentrale Melde- und Auswertestelle für Störfälle und Störungen in verfahrenstechnischen Anlagen (ZEMA ) am Umweltbundesamt registriert seit 1991 zentral für Deutschland alle meldepflichtigen Ereignisse in Anlagen, die der Störfall-Verordnung unterliegen.

In the project the availability and quality of the information on toxicological and ecotoxicological endpoints in lead and individual registration dossiers of the medium tonnage band (100-1000 tpa) under REACH Regulation was examined.
