Im Rahmen dieses Gutachtens werden die Treibhausgasminderungswirkungen der Einzelmaßnahmen des Klimaschutzprogramms 2030 analysiert. Die Methodik entspricht dem Projektionsbericht 2019.

Für die klimagerechte Transformation der Wärmeversorgung können Wärmenetze ein wichtiger Schlüssel sein. Perspektiven der effizienten Nutzung von Niedertemperaturwärmeströmen werden aufgezeigt. Besondere Schwerpunkte des Forschungsvorhabens sind die Ermittlung von Wärmepotenzialen der tiefen Geothermie, Maßnahmen zur Systemintegration sowie eine ökonomische Analyse.
