The final PMT/vPvM criteria after public consultation

The final PMT/vPvM criteria after public consultation

The final PMT and vPvM criteria are the result of several public consultations and the scientific and technical development under REACH. Over 100 scientists and institutions contributed with thorough scientific and technical comments. The following criteria were presented at the 30th Caracal meeting (01 - 02 July 2019) and are also published in UBA TEXTE 127/2019 (Neumann and Schliebner, 2019).

Certain chemical substances are harmful to man and the environment. As part of the “AskREACH” EU LIFE project, staff in companies which produce or sell consumer products are able to partake in an online survey on “Substances of Very High Concern” in manufactured products until 30 September 2018. Legal provisions

paragraphs

Harmful substances in products are regulated by different legislative texts. These texts address either the substances (chemicals) or the product itself. The legal provisions are therefore classified either into chemicals law or product law, or sometimes waste law when chemicals become relevant at the waste treatment stage only.
