This guidance supports the communication in supply chains regarding substances of very high concern in articles. It is addressed to producers, importers and retailers of articles in the EU. It aims to provide guidance to actors handling articles on a structured approach.

In this study, a “comprehensive data set” is developed which would enable communication on all relevant aspects of substances in articles with regard to the legal requirements under REACH, including communication of information to ensure safe handling of articles.

Sustainability, by definition, is about maintaining future capability in one‘s own decisions. What happens, though, if the framework conditions change? What if the different political, economic and social actors have different ideas of sustainable solutions?

National information and early warning systems (UV index, heat health warnings, pollen and ozone forecasts) can potentially prompt protective or adaptive measures by the population and thus protect health from environmental factors.

While in 2012 a commercially available acrylic sealant was used as sample material, in 2014 a lacquer doped with specific substances was sent to the participants for the VOC and odour measurement.

It was the aim of the project to develop a method to determine the transformation of substances in liquid manure. In a first step, the heterogeneity of manure of different type and origin was tested. Furthermore, a procedure was tested which is capable to take samples homogeneously from a manure storage tank.
