This evaluation of air quality in Germany in the year 2016 is based on preliminary data which has not yet been conclusively audited from the air monitoring networks of the federal states and the UBA, valid on 23rd January 2017. Due to the comprehensive quality assurance within the monitoring networks, the final data will only be available in mid-2017.

The Sponsorship Programme is the central testing programme of the OECD Working Party on Manufactured Nanomaterials (WPMN) launched in 2007. It was called into being to create the conditions for a coordinated approach between the member countries with regard to the safety of manufactured nanomaterials. The WPMN brings together 30 member countries of the OECD and the EU Commission.
