With our demand for food, feed, energetic and material use of biomass extensive land use is associated, both at home and abroad. This entails considerable environmental effects. Therefore, land use should be measured more in detail. In this research project, area based land footprint indicators of biomass consumption were further developed and calculated based on global data sets.

In December 2015 Parties adopted the Paris Agreement at the 21st session of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). In its Article 2 governments agreed to limit global warming to “well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels” and to pursue to limit it to 1.5°C (UNFCCC 2015).

Am 24.10.2015 trat das novellierte ElektroG 2 in Kraft, das in § 24 (2) die Bundesregierung ermächtigt, weitergehende Anforderungen an die Behandlung von Elektroaltgeräten festzulegen. Die vorliegende Studie diente der Schaffung einer Grundlage für eine solche Verordnung. Es wurden Leiterplatten, Flachbildschirme, Kunststoffe und Photovoltaikmodule betrachtet.

Vor dem Hintergrund der europäischen Klimaschutzziele bis 2050 und der damit erforderlichen Dekarbonisierung der Wirtschaft werden in dem Vorhaben die Weiterentwicklungsoptionen der europäischen Energieeffizienzpolitiken untersucht. Es werden die Sektoren private Haushalte, Verkehr und Industrie betrachtet sowie der förderliche Rahmen, d. h. auch sektorübergreifende Instrumente.

Die vorliegende Literaturstudie fasst vorhandenes Wissen zum Einfluss von Beteiligungsprozessen auf die Eigenvorsorge relevanter Akteure in der Klimawandelanpassung zusammen. Die Studie analysiert die Wirkzusammenhänge der drei zentralen Komponenten a) Beteiligungsformate, b) psychologische Einflussfaktoren des Vorsorgehandelns und c) Eigenvorsorge.

Über 300 Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer haben am 30. und 31. März 2017 im Umweltforum in Berlin im Rahmen des UBA Forums mobil & nachhaltig zur „Stadt für Morgen“ diskutiert. Jetzt können alle Beiträge und Diskussionen in der Veranstaltungsdokumentation nachgelesen werden.

Since 2016, there are new legal requirements for the assessment for nutrients and substances of the waters in Germany. New assessment procedures for hydromorphology were developed. These assessment instruments are described in the brochure "Waters in Germany: Status and Assessment". The results of the assessment clarify the still open problems in water protection.
