Zentrale Handlungsfelder für eine transformative Umweltpolitik
Der vierte Teilbericht des Projekts beschreibt die für eine Weiterentwicklung von Nachhaltigkeitspolitik als besonders zentral identifizierten Handlungsfelder. Wir beschreiben solche Handlungsfelder, denen in verschiedenen Zukunftsvisionen eine zentrale Bedeutung zugemessen wird, die aber bisher noch nicht oder nur teilweise in der deutschen Nachhaltigkeitspolitik adressiert werden.

Transformative Umweltpolitik orientiert sich an stattfindenden sozialen Wandlungsprozessen und macht sich diese zu Nutze, um diese in Richtung Nachhaltigkeit zu lenken.
Metaanalyse von Visionen einer nachhaltigen Gesellschaft
Die untersuchten Studien beschreiben inhaltlich sehr unterschiedliche Zukünfte und stellen dabei jeweils unterschiedliche Handlungsfelder für ein Nachhaltiges Deutschland 2030 bis 2050 in den Vordergrund. Diesen Perspektiven und Prioritäten liegen unterschiedliche Transformationstheorien zugrunde.

Es lassen sich eine Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Zukunftsvisionen ausmachen, die sich auf unterschiedliche Zielvorstellungen beziehen — zum Beispiel auf die Transformation zu einer nachhaltigen Gesellschaft, einer kohlenstoffarmen Gesellschaft oder einer Postwachstums-Gesellschaft.
