Geneva Convention on Air Pollution

The CCE is an organizational entity under the CLRTAP of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. The CLRTAP was signed in 1979 and came into force in 1983. It was the first international legally binding instrument to deal with problems of air pollution at a broader scale.

The Coordination Centre for Effects (CCE) invites submissions of updated critical load data for the extended Call for Data 2024–25, now covering 2026–27. These data will feed into the European Critical Load database and support the revision of the Gothenburg Protocol under the CLRTAP.
