The Blue Angel Prize will be awarded this year to businesses which have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to protecting the environment and climate. The contest's expert jury has nominated three businesses for the prize from Germany's most important ecolabel: car-sharing provider "Cambio", computer centre operator "IT-Dienstleistungszentrum Berlin" and the telecommunications provider "Telekom Deutschland GmbH".

Federal Minister for the Environment Barbara Hendricks said: "The three nominees have distinguished themselves with forward-looking products and services that are exemplary in helping to protect the environment and climate. The Blue Angel is an authentic and reliable signal to consumers that provides orientation and help in the selection of products."

President Maria Krautzberger of the Federal Environment Agency remarked: "I hope that even more businesses will offer Blue Angel-labelled products which enable consumers to make conscious choices for the sake of man and the environment. Products and services with the Blue Angel put less strain on the environment, for example by being low-energy, reducing emissions to soil, water and air as much as possible, or through particularly long service life."

The Blue Angel prize 2015 is being awarded for the fourth year in a row by the Federal Ministry for Environment, the Federal Environment Agency, the Environmental Label Jury, and RAL gGmbH, in cooperation with the German Sustainability Award organization (Stiftung Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis). Federal Environment Minister Barbara Hendricks will confer the prize in an award ceremony taking place on German Sustainability  Day on 27 November 2015.
