The Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) produces reports on the global state of biodiversity and policy options for its protection, restoration, and sustainable use. The main objective of the project is to strengthen IPBES's influence on policy decision-making in the project region of Southeast Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. The training programmes target all relevant stakeholders from ministries, academia, and civil society. Following project implementation, participants will be better equipped to engage knowledgeably and competently in IPBES processes and to utilize the findings of IPBES assessments for environmental policy decisions in their respective countries.
