Community-based conservation of saiga antelope through the development of wildlife conservation associations in Kazakhstan

The steppes of Central Asia are the habitat of the saiga antelope. Their range is divided into four isolated populations. Poaching threatens the survival of the species despite a strict hunting ban. The project has expanded community-based saiga antelope conservation through the development of village wildlife conservation associations in Kazakhstan.
