Indicator: Commitment to environmental protection

A graph shows the percentage of the population actively involved in environmental protection and nature conservation or who could imagine becoming involved. In 2020 only the current involvement was surveyed which was at 19 percent.

In the 2020 representative survey, 19 % said they were actively involved in environmental protection and nature conservation. In the German Environmental Survey, the Federal Environment Agency is investigating the exposure of the population to pollutants and other environmental effects such as noise.
