Climate protection: New manual for Joint Implementation projects
DEHSt publishes guide for innovative climate protection projects under the Kyoto Protocol
The German Emissions Trading Authority (DEHSt) at the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) has published a new manual for project proponents of Joint Implementation (JI) projects under the Kyoto Protocol. In its capacity as the Designated Focal Point (DFP) for Germany, the DEHSt authorises such climate protection projects with German involvement either domestically or abroad. The manual is a navigable document intended for online use. In order to stay abreast of international regulations, the most important information is contained in its text, while hyperlinks take the user to relevant websites of the UNFCCC’s secretariat. The JI manual issued by DEHSt, always up-to-date since it continually updates itself, is the first of its kind.
