COP30 Side Event: Pathways towards Convergence

Donnerstag, 13. November 2025 15:30 bis 16:30

UBA and FBMC invite you to the (English-language) COP30 Side Event. The event will present key recommendations developed by German and Brazilian experts to foster cooperation and identify common ground for ambitious and fair climate action. Join the livestream of the event and engage through Slido.

A highlight of the session will be the high-level segment featuring Mr. Jochen Flasbarth, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN), and a high-level representative from Brazil (to be confirmed).

Experts from both countries will share insights and policy proposals on the interlinked challenges of energy, land use, climate finance, and digital transformation.

The German-Brazilian Track-1.5-Dialogue on Ambitious Climate Policy (T1.5D) was established in early 2025 as a platform for constructive exchange and for supporting the German-Brazilian High Level Strategic Dialogue.

It addresses energy transition strategies, sustainable land use, innovative AI-solutions and climate finance for the Global South. Hosts are the German Environment Agency (UBA) together with the Brazilian Forum on Climate Change (FBMC) with the support of the Brazilian and German Foreign Offices.
