DigiRess develops and applies simulation models to estimate the resource intensity of digitalisation. For this purpose, resource requirements and greenhouse gas emissions are projected using a macroeconometric input-output model. Both the current situation and scenarios for potential future developments of digitalisation are examined. In additional steps, DigiRess examines life cycle data of selected digital products and services and their resource requirements.
