Air pollution caused by nitrogen dioxide and particulates continued to be too high in Germany in 2012.

These are the results of an initial evaluation of interim measurement data from the Länder and UBA. Levels of nitrogen dioxide pollution also remained high. Mean PM10 particulate concentrations were at the same level as in 2008 and thus well below the levels measured in 2009-2011.
