Increasing numbers of customers are paying attention to products’ environmental compatibility. How can and should businesses draw attention to the environmental benefits of their products? When can a product be described as "water-saving” or “recyclable”, for instance?

The 7th revised and updated edition of the "Environmental Information for Products and Services" brochure by the Federal Ministry for the Environment (BMU), the German Environment Agency (UBA) and the Federation of German Industries (BDI) is now available. It provides an overview of the various ecolabels and certification systems, explains requirements and rules for advertising claims and gives tips to businesses on transparent communication of their commitment to the environment.
