Abstract

Field studies, in line with the criteria determined by the Carpathian Convention, generated and improved information on old-growth and virgin forests in the Ukrainian Carpathians. The gained information was analysed and disseminated among target groups. This helped at convincing decision makers to pay more attention to forest preservation in the Ukraine.
