On 9/10 October 2014 a colloquium took place at the Federal Environment Agency’s headquarters in Dessau to mark the 20th anniversary of the German Focal Point to the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal, which has been based at the Federal Environment Agency since 1994. Participants from Germany, Europe and other continents discussed the future legal framework for transboundary waste movements, technological advances in waste management and recycling, and the different situations in various regions around the globe.
