Urban transport in the EU is undergoing a change. This is the outcome of the latest Transport and Environmental Reporting Mechanism (TERM) Report by the European Environment Agency (EEA).

17.12.2013

The report analyses the environmental impact of transport in the EU. People in Europe’s cities are using bicycles, buses or trains more regularly in their everyday lives and thus leaving their motor cars alone. Urban motorised transport nevertheless continues to be the cause of high levels of noise exposure, air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions which harm man and the environment.
