Veterinary Medicinal Products in Manures and Manured Soils:Development of a Technical Protocol for Laboratory Tests

- The Manure Project -

After the administration of veterinary medicinal products (VMP) in livestock husbandry, parent compounds and metabolites are excreted by production animals via urine and feces. In loose housing stables with slatted floors, the excrements are transferred to the manure aboveground silos or underground pits. After the storage of manures up to several months, they are applied to farmland or grassland soils as organic fertilizers.
