IFAT – World’s Leading Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Waste and Raw Materials Management
UBA invited to the IFAT side event "Circular Economy & Waste Management International: New instruments to mobilize Climate Protection Potentials" to inform about current developments and funding instruments on concrete examples, to discuss on the Green Climate Fund, the C40 City Finance Facility and with experts from the European Investment Bank, CCAC, CCAP, GIZ, sequa and Hamburg City.
Which funding instruments do currently exist in the field of waste management and circular economy for emerging economies and developing countries? How can city partnerships, public-private cooperation or climate funds and development banks contribute to better tap the existing climate protection potential in the waste sector? Which opportunities are available for the financing of project preparations?
Distinguished experts shared their experiences and concrete examples in this English-speaking information event on:
- The support for (inter)communal projects in the international context, which addresses especially representatives of cities, communal waste management services and consultants.
- Experiences with the Green Climate Fund and Public-Private-Cooperation (PPP), which are of interest especially for consultants, entrepreneurs and experts of the public sector, the private sector and for developing cooporation.
