Digital Conference: Environmental Aspects in Public Procurement in Europe

The conference Environmental Aspects in Public Procurement in Europe took place on October 1st and 2nd, 2020 in Berlin. It was organised as two-day hybrid and digital conference inviting guests and speakers from all over Europe and beyond. The aim was to bring together decision makers, experts, scientists, and practitioners from all over Europe in order to talk about green public procurement.

Key topics were climate protection, circular economy, biodiversity and a non-toxic environment. It was discussed how procurement practice can meet the goals of climate protection, circular economy, biodiversity, and a non-toxic environment.

The conference was hosted by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), the German Environment Agency (UBA) and organised by the Berlin Energy Agency GmbH (BEA). The event was held in English. The conference was organized using the guidelines of BMU and UBA on green events from 2020.
