The "Guidelines for self-classifications" is a brief survey about WGK-determination in practice. It cannot include each special case in detail. In cases of doubt the VwVwS as well as the Ordinance on Hazardous Substances (Gefahrstoffverordnung - GefStoffV) is decisive.
Detailed and obligatory information about classifications are also available in the LTwS-Schrift Nr. 10 which is available as download but only in German language. It was passed in the end of 1999 by the Advisory board "Storage and Transportation of Substances hazardous to waters" (Beirat "Lagerung und Transport wassergefährdender Stoffe" – LTwS) at the Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. The Geschäftsstelle of KBwS has revised the floatchart for deriving a WGK for mixtures and preparations which had been published in the VwVwS of 1996. The revised floatchart that takes all changes of the VwVwS of 17. 05. 1999 into account is available on the page downloads. Sorry - the floatchart is available in German language only!
LTwS Nr. 29 (RTF file) is a discussion paper on practicable derivation of a definition of plant within the VAwS (in German).
