Administrative Regulation on the Classification of Substances hazardous to waters into Water Hazard Classes (VwVwS)

The Administrative Regulation on the Classification of Substances Hazardous to Waters into Water Hazard Classes (Verwaltungsvorschrift wassergefährdende Stoffe - VwVwS) of 17 May 1999 has been published on 29 May 1999 in the Bundesanzeiger 98a; it entered into force on 01 Juni 1999. The VwVwS as amended on 27 July 2005 has been published on 30 July in the Bundesanzeiger 98a; it entered into force on 01 August 2005.

The VwVwS encloses four annexes:

annex 1: list of substances non-hazardous (nicht wassergefährdend – nwg) to waters,
annex 2: list of substances hazardous to waters, classified into Water Hazard Classes (Wassergefährdungsklasse) 1 to 3,
annex 3: discription of the classification procedure on basis of R-phrase classifications according to European Hazardous Substances Regulations for all substances that are not listed in annex 1 or 2,
annex 4: discription of the procedure in order to classify preparations and mixtures.
